Golf: Gwladys Nocera takes 5-stroke lead in India

Associated Press

BANGALORE, India — Gwladys Nocera shot a second straight 3-under 69 today for a five-stroke lead after the second round of the inaugural EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters.

Nocera totaled 6-under 138 at the Eagleton Resort, with Trish Johnson (71), Marta Prieto (70), Titiya Plucksataporn (71) and Lee Bo-ri (72) tied for second.

Nocera shared the first-round lead with Lotta Wahlin and Anna Tybring, who struggled during the second round. Wahlin (75) tied for sixth place, while Tybring (82) fell to 7 over.

Laura Davies finished the day at 7 over after a 74.

All 71 players in the field will advance to the final two rounds because there is no cut at the tournament, which is part of the Ladies European Tour expansion into Asia.
