25 more Sugar Bowl tickets now available

Advertiser Staff

Ten University of Hawai'i football fans have returned 25 tickets to the Allstate Sugar Bowl to the UH athletic department.

The tickets will now be offered to UH season ticket holders on a waiting list.

The people relinquished their Sugar Bowl tickets because they can't arrange travel to the Louisiana Superdome or because they didn't need all of their tickets, said John McNamara, UH's associate athletic director of external affairs.

Faced with a shortage of Sugar Bowl tickets and a waiting list for about 1,500 tickets, UH officials continue to offer to buy back seats to the New Year's Day bowl game between UH and the University of Georgia.
