A soggy farmers market was open for business today in Hilo. High winds and rain over the past few days had damaged some of the tarps that covered the popular Hilo attraction.

The National Weather Service has extended a flash flood watch for all islands until 6 a.m. Saturday.

A low-pressure system about 200 miles north of Kaua'i continues to produce moist, unstable atmospheric conditions over all islands, the weather service said.

The weather service warns that saturated ground can result in flash flooding.

The low-pressure system is expected to move away from the state Saturday, reducing the threat of heavy rain and flooding, the weather service said.
