'Best of Christmas' album airs on KIPO, 3 p.m. Sunday

To mark the 20th anniversary of a vinyl holiday album, "The Best of Christmas 1987," produced by Keith Haugen for The Honolulu Advertiser to benefit the newspaper's annual Christmas fund, Haugen will air the entire LP on his "Music of Hawai'i" KIPO 89.3 FM radio show, from 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.The out-of-print release featured acts such as The Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, The Brothers Cazimero, Melveen Leed, Frank DeLima, Karen Keawehawai'ii, Ohta-san and Randy & Gay Hongo. The Haugen called it "a huge success."
