Kalanianaole HOV lane open to all; crew at water main

The west-bound HOV lane on Kalaniana'ole Highway in East O'ahu is being opened to all motorists this morning. A repair crew is working on a broken water main in front of the Wailupe Fire Station, and one west-bound lane of Kalaniana'ole remains closed to facilitate repairs. The lane closure resulted in the decision to open the HOV lane to all drivers, police said.It was estimated that the repair work will take another three to four hours.
