City offers access to grants database

Advertiser Staff

The city is offering up to 50 nonprofit groups access to a grants database search engine, Grants Locator, GN Research 4.0, from eCivis Inc.

This database helps people search for grant funding from public and private sources. The system provides such features as automatic notifications of grant opportunities, program information, and data on past grant awards and previously funded applications. This service intends to enable organizations to spend less time searching for grants and more time developing their applications.

This tool will be made available to up to 50 nonprofit organizations on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants must be nonprofit organizations formed under HRS Chapter 415B or any charitable organization formed pursuant to HRS Chapter 467B or under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Proof of this designation must be submitted when the user agreement is signed. Agreements are available for review and signature through the mayor's office.

Applications will be accepted beginning 9 a.m. Dec. 13 in Room 306 of Honolulu Hale.

For additional information, contact Chrystn Eads of the mayor's office at 523-4937 or ceads@honolulu.gov.
