UH's Satele named football writers' All-American

Hawai'i senior offensive lineman Hercules Satele was named to the Football Writers Association of America's 64th All-America Team, it was announced today.

Satele joins three other offensive linemen on the team: Anthony Collins of Kansas, Jake Long of Michigan and Ryan Stanchek of West Virginia.

Satele, who is 6 -feet-3 and 293 pounds, was named to the all-Western Athletic Conference first team earlier this week.

Other notables on the All-America team include Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Tim Tebow, of Florida, Arkansas running back and Heisman finalist Darren McFadden, Butkus Award winner linebacker James Laurinatis of Ohio State, wide receiver and Blietnikoff Award winner Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech and center and Rimington Trophy winner Jonathan Luigs of Arkansas.
