Firefighters rescue injured Tantalus hiker

Fire rescue specialists carried out an injured female hiker today on Tantalus near the 3900 block of Round Top Drive.The hiker appeared to have an injured ankle when brought out at 4:15 p.m. from about one-quarter mile in from the Makina Trail entrance, said Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Robert Main.
The woman was hiking with two companions, who made their way out and called for assistance at 3:29 p.m.
