Flash flood watch lifted, but rain still in forecast

There just yet may be some relief coming from Mother Nature for marathon runners this morning.Most of the early-morning showers on O'ahu have been on the eastern side, but rainfall that was concentrated in the cloud band filling the Kauai Channel is slowly drifting east and threatening to turn the the mostly clear conditions on O'ahu into overcast and rainy skies, the National Weather Service said.
So far, however, radar and rain gauges have reported rainfall rates much reduced from 24 hours ago.
Because of that, the National Weather Service has lifted the flash flood watch.
Today: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Light southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Monday: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
