Kona detective honored for jewelery recovery work

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee on the Big Island named has named Detective Kenneth Quiocho its Officer of the Month for December.

Quiocho was recognized for his efforts in recovering artifacts stolen from a South Kohala resort and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry stolen from a Kona jewelry store. He is now eligible to become Officer of the Year.

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee is an organization that encourages community involvement in aiding and supporting police in West Hawai'i.
