Big Island home gutted by fire

A Big Island home on Pa Ali'i Street at Royal Hawaiian Subdivision was gutted by fire today.Firefighters responding to the 11:59 a.m. alarm found the structure fully engulfed in flames upon arrival at 12:12 p.m. The fire was reported extinguished at 12:37 p.m.
Damages to the home, which is surrounded by forest, and a 1991 Isuzu Trooper parked in the driveway was estimated at $120,000.
No injuries were reported.
