GOING VEGAS
Some shows take holidays off

During December, many Las Vegas shows go "dark" to allow cast members to take extended holiday vacations. The dark days for some of the major productions are:

  • Bally's: "Jubilee," tomorrow, Wednesday and Dec. 31

  • Bellagio: "O," today through Dec. 18

  • Las Vegas Hilton: Barry Manilow, today through Dec. 26

  • Luxor: Carrot Top, Dec. 18-27

  • MGM Grand: "KË," today to Tuesday

  • Mirage: Danny Gans, Dec. 22-28; "Love," today and tomorrow

  • Monte Carlo: Lance Burton, today through Dec. 25

  • New York-New York: "Zumanity," today through Dec. 18

  • Paris: "The Producers," Dec. 17-31

  • Rio: Chippendales, Dec. 23-26 and 31; Penn & Teller, tomorrow through Dec. 21 and 31

  • Tropicana: "Folies Bergere," Wednesday through Dec. 25

  • Venetian: Gordie Brown, Tuesday, Wednesday and Dec. 31; "The Phantom of the Opera," Dec. 19; Wayne Brady, Thursday through Dec. 24 and 31

  • Wynn: "Le Rêve," today through Dec. 21; "Spamalot," Dec. 24-31

    Decked out: Check out the holiday displays at the Sam's Town atrium and Bellagio (conservatory), along with the noncasino Fremont Street Experience, Fashion Show Mall, Ethel M Cactus Garden, the drive-through display of lights at Sunset Park ($13 per car), and a new display at the Springs Preserve ($9 adults, $4.50 ages 5-17, 4 and under free).
