No tsunami threat from 3.9 earthquake off Big Island

A minor 3.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 6:31 a.m. this morning by the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.It registered 33 miles northwest of Kailua, Kona off the shores of the Big Island with a hypocentral depth of 3.7 miles.
There is no tsunami threat.
