Extra trash pickups slated for tomorrow on Maui

A trash pickup has been slated for tomorrow -- not today as originaly reported -- in the Kula area on Maui, including areas along Kula Highway and Polipoli Road, for area residents affected by last week's storm.The Solid Waste Division said a crew will be out today, and again on the regular pickup day Wednesday.
All County Recycling Centers and landfills are open, and green waste is being accepted at Maui EKO compost. Maui Earth Organic Compost in Kihei is accepting residential green waste only, while the Pu'unene on Hansen Road location is accepting commercial green waste only.
