Man injured by falling tree branch in Kahaluu

Advertiser Staff

A 41-year-old man was rushed to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition after a tree branch fell and hit him in the back of the neck, said city emergency services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.

The accident was reported at 10:40 a.m. Tree trimmers were apparently clearing trees on Mapele Road in Kahalu'u. It was not clear whether the man was a tree trimmer or pedestrian.

The man was transported to Queen's in serious condition with possible cervical spine injuries, Cheplic said.
