Police seek suspect in Kalihi hit-and-run

Advertiser Staff

A 13-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run accident today on North School Street near Kamehameha IV Road in Kalihi.

The incident was reported at about 8 a.m. The girl was treated for injuries at The Queen's Medical Center and released.

The suspect car is a white sedan driven by a man. Police are seeking to locate the vehicle and driver in a failure-to-render-aid investigation.

The girl, who was not crossing in a marked crosswalk, may have been hit by the car's passenger-side rear-view mirror, police said.
