Climate vulnerabilities in Melanesia on agenda

Advertiser Staff

A Bishop Museum researcher will talk about climate change in Melanesia at an informational meeting Thursday.

The meeting with scientist Stephen Leisz will run from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Bishop Museum Paki I Conference Room. Leisz, who received a grant to assess the vulnerabilities of Melanesian ecosystems to climate change, will talk about the results of his studies and what Melanesia can expect under present climate projections.

The talk is part of the monthly Bishop Museum research seminar series.
