Moody's upgrades rating on airport bonds

The rating for the state of Hawai'i's airport system revenue bonds have been upgraded to A2 from A3 by Moody's Investors Service. The ratings agency said the outlook is stable for the $673.7 million of airport system revenue bonds outstanding,The upgrade was based on strong historical financial performance and consistent demand, Moody's said in a news release. The ratings agency noted enplanements for fiscal 2007 had risen to more than 17 million for the first time since 2001, helped by growth in domestic visitors and interisland traffic.
