A new Kailua "contract postal unit" has opened offering most of the services of a post office at the Nook & Cranny professional cleaning service store at 270 Kuulei Road.

It will operate from 7 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. It is closed on federal holidays.

It will have all of the services of a regular post office except for P.O. Box rentals and money order sales.

The only other contract postal unit in Kailua, which was located in Enchanted Lake, closed in June.
