Work continuing on broken water pipe at Kahe Point

Advertiser Staff

By late Tuesday evening, a Board of Water supply work crew had managed to cut out and remove about 6 to 8 feet of a damaged 24-inch water main pipe that ruptured early Tuesday on Farrington Highway near the Ko Olina overpass by Kahe Point.

Work to splice in the replacement pipe section is expected to last into this morning.

The BWS has arranged to set up a contraflow lane for Leeward Coast traffic heading into Honolulu during the morning rush hour.
