Hoku leads Hawaii stock index lower

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index fell as eight local stocks declined.The 11-member stock index fell 1.21 points to 96,27 as the eight fell, two rose and one remained unchanged.
Leading the decliners was Hoku Scientific, which tumbled 9.7 percent, or $1.24, to $11.49.
Bank of Hawaii was off 60 cents, or 1.2 percent, to $49.53.
