No snow for Santa at Merchant Street tonight

Murphy's Bar & Grill will not bring in snow to Merchant Street tonight.But the bar will still be closing down Merchant Street to bring in Santa Claus, free food and movies for kids.
The snow was canceled because of difficulties in getting it to melt.
The event will start at 6 p.m., and shut down Merchant Street from Nu'uanu Avenue to Bethel Street. Santa Claus will arrive about 6:30 p.m.
