Castle's Koehler to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Castle defensive lineman Solomon Koehler has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Jan. 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The game between the East and West, which features 84 of the top high school football players, will be televised at 8 a.m. Hawai'i time on NBC.

The selection committee consists of recruiting expert Tom Lemming, rivals.com and SportsLink, according to a press release.

Castle head coach Nelson Maeda also has been invited to the game and a two-day U.S. Army Coaches Academy featuring NFL and NCAA coaches.

Recent players who have been in the bowl game include Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Adrian Peterson and Brady Quinn.
