Ferry passes northern side of Molokai
Advertiser Staff
After one hour and 10 minutes into its voyage to Maui, the Hawaii Superferry was motoring along the northern side of Moloka'i, said Advertiser reporter Dan Nakaso who is aboard the ferry.Nakaso said plans call for the ferry to cross the channel between Moloka'i and Maui then make a sweeping right turn from the north of Maui into Kahului Harbor.
A number of passengers have succumbed to the ferry's rocking-and-rolling motion through the open ocean swells and seasickness bags have been passed out to passengers who requested them, Nakaso said.
It was estimated that the trip from Honolulu to Kahului would take about three hours.
