Associated Press

DEBRECEN, Hungary — Laszlo Cseh broke his own world record today in the 400-meter individual medley event, his second world record in two days.

The Hungarian finished in 3 minutes, 59.33 seconds at the European Short Course Swimming Championships. Cseh set his previous record of 4:00.37 in Trieste, Italy, in December 2005.

On Thursday, Cseh finished the 200 individual medley in 1:52.99. He bettered the record of 1:53.14 set by Thiago Pereira of Brazil on Nov. 18 at the World Cup in Berlin.
