NBA: Bulls' Thomas suspended; Pacers' Murphy fined

Associated Press

CHICAGO — Chicago Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas was suspended for one game and Indiana Pacers forward Troy Murphy was fined $10,000 for fighting.

Thomas was suspended for striking Murphy in the face during a game in Indianapolis, and Murphy was fined for shoving Thomas, the league said.

The fight happened Wednesday, with the Bulls leading 41-36 with 3:51 left in the second quarter. Both players were ejected. The Pacers went on to win 117-102.

Thomas will serve his suspension Friday when the Bulls host the New York Knicks.
