Parade to honor Leilehua football championship

Advertiser Staff

The city will stage a parade tomorrow in honor of Leilehua High School's football team, which won the First Hawaiian Bank Division I State Football Championship this month.

The Leilehua High School Parade of Champions will begin at 2 p.m. at Ka'ala Elementary School and proceed along California Avenue, ending at the Leilehua High School field. The event is in response to numerous requests from the Wahiawa community, the city said.

The parade will feature the football team as well as members of the school's state champion cross country team, marching band, cheerleaders and others.
