Waipahu man charged with stabbing neighbor

A Waipahu man was charged by prosecutors today with the stabbing of a man late Friday night.

Jefferson Lucio, 22, allegedly stabbed a neighbor, 26, who had asked him to quiet down at 11:50 p.m. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Aniani Place in Waipahu.

The victim was stabbed in the neck. He was taken to an unnamed hospital in serious but stable condition.

Lucio, who was allegedly standing outside his apartment yelling, was charged with first-degree assault. His bail is $20,000.
