Kalepolepo Park on Maui reopening today

Advertiser Staff

Kalepolepo Park is scheduled to reopen today after being shut down last week because of storm damage, the Maui County Department of Parks and Recreation announced.

Maui County officials also said on Friday that Kamaole Beach Park II facilities are closed until further notice. The restrooms and shower are closed due to a damaged waterline, and the main beach access is closed due to debris and a hazardous drop-off. However, the public may still access the beach from South Kihei Road by a walkway on the north side of the undeveloped section of the park.

At Baldwin Beach Park, the restrooms and pavilion will remain closed until further notice while assessments and repairs are being made.
