Swimming: Croatia's Strahija suspended in doping case

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Croatian swimmer Marko Strahija was suspended by FINA on Monday for taking performance-enhancing hormones.

The out-of-competition test came on Nov. 8. The suspension of the backstroke specialist is provisional, pending a hearing by swimming's governing body doping panel.

No date has been set.
