Boise State suspends three players for Hawaii Bowl

Advertiser Staff

Boise State has suspended three players for its Dec. 23 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl game with East Carolina, including the team's leading receiver, Jeremy Childs, a spokesman said today.

They were disciplined for what was described as separate violations of team rules and did not accompany the team here Monday night.

In addition to Childs, back-up defensive back Keith McGowen and linebacker Ben Chandler, a redshirt, were suspended.

Childs caught 82 passes for 1,045 yards and 9 touchdowns this season.
