'EWA
Many participate in Varona Village cleanup

Advertiser Staff

Businesses, families, service groups and individuals took part in a cleanup of the Varona section of 'Ewa Villages on Sunday.

The project was part of the city Department of Environmental Services' Adopt-A-Block Program. The department's Storm Water Quality Branch provided the supplies and picked up the trash bags following the cleanup.

The cleanup was co-sponsored by the 'Ewa Clean and Green Patrol, which is comprised of Varona Village residents and their supporters.

After the cleanup, Varona Village residents and the Hawaiian Railway Society hosted a pizza party for the volunteers.
