Best surf along Oahu's eastern shores at 3 to 6 feet

Advertiser Staff

Surf of 2 feet to 4 feet is expected along O'ahu's north-facing shores this morning, increasing to 3 feet to 5 feet this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, surf is expected to reach 1 foot to 3 feet along O'ahu's west-facing shores, 1 foot to 2 feet along south-facing shores and 3 feet to 6 feet along east-facing shores.

Short-period trade wind swells will continue through next week, but remain below high-surf criteria, forecasters said. A small west-northwest swell is expected Thursday, lasting through Saturday. A moderate northwest swell will arrive Saturday night and Sunday, with a larger northwest swell on Monday nearing advisory levels.
