Recycling drive on Jan. 5 benefits Boy Scout troop

The public is invited to bring recyclables to the Mililani Park & Ride on Jan. 5 for the 35th Aloha 'Aina Earth Day Recycling Community Clean-Up.

Money raised in this event will benefit Boy Scout Troop 32. Residents in Mililani, Waipi'o Gentry, Waikele, Waipahu and Wahiawa are encouraged to bring recyclables to the Park & Ride at 95-1101 Ukuwai St. between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Curbside pickup will also be available for area residents. To schedule a pickup, call Phyllis at 623-8769 or Rene Mansho at 306-1876.

Recyclables include scrap metal, appliances, auto parts, bicycles, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, usable clothing and household items, green waste, car batteries, telephone books and computers.
