WAI'ANAE
Winter break reading program starts Friday

Wai'anae Public Library will present its 2008 Winter Break Children's Reading Program, "The Twelve Days of Christmas," beginning Friday through Jan. 11, 2008.

Sponsored by the Friends of Wai'anae Library at 85-625 Farrington Highway, this free three-week program is for kids in kindergarten through grade six in the Wai'anae community who are invited to keep their minds active during winter break and earn reading incentives at the same time.

Grade level categories and requirements are the following: Kindergarten through Grade 3: read 12 Easy Picture Books or Fairy Tales; Grade 4 through 6: read 12 Juvenile Fiction or 12 Juvenile Non-Fiction Books.
