Advertiser Staff

Westin's first vacation ownership resort in Kaua'i is scheduled to open in April 2008.

Starwood Vacation Ownership, a division of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced it will open its third vacation ownership resort in Hawai'i, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas, on the island of Kaua'i.

Located on Kaua'i's North Shore, the oceanfront property comprises 18.5 acres perched 200 feet above Anini Beach. The resort will feature 179 two-bedroom villas, four pools, three whirlpools, a two-story clubhouse, a restaurant, and general store. Villas will also be offered as nightly rentals for visitors seeking larger accommodations for family travel or longer stays.

"Starwood has a long history in Hawai'i, dating back to the early 1960's as Sheraton was the first major hospitality brand on the Hawaiian Islands," said Denise Wardlow, general manager of The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas.

"This property gives our travel partners more options to attract upscale clients who are repeat guests to the island of Kaua'i – guests who desire the convenience of a fully-furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, plus all of the luxurious amenities and services of a Westin resort."

Rack rates for an Island View Studio will start at $600 per night, with rates at $800 per night for a one-bedroom and $1,400 per night for a two-bedroom villa. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii offers its Sunsational Savings promotion with complimentary breakfast buffet daily for two people, a $200 food dining credit and fifth night free (minimum five nights).
