The University of Hawaii will host a international conference on Internet technologies Jan. 20-25.

The "Techs in Paradise" conference will bring together more than 300 of the world's leading Internet engineers and architects from North America and Asia.

The conference is organized by the Internet2 research and education consortium and the Asian-Pacific Advanced Network, its regional counterpart.

"Hawaii provides the perfect venue to bring together the advanced networking communities from both sides of the Pacific," said David Lassner, UH chief information officer and vice president for information technology.
