Two Kaneohe armed robbery suspects arrested

Police today arrested two men with a combined total of 43 criminal convictions for investigation of Monday night's armed robbery in Kane'ohe.

Both were booked for first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

One of the suspects, 43-year-old Stanley Francis Almeida, is also being held on an outstanding $500 warrant.

Almeida was arrested by Windward O'ahu Crime Reduction Unit officers at Kamehameha Highway and Puahu'ula Place at 5:30 p.m. He has 32 prior convictions.

The other suspect, 36, has 11 prior convictions.

According to police, the pair were identified as suspects by a male victim who was robbed and assaulted,
