Hawaii top year-end spot for S. Californians

Hawai'i is the top vacation destination for Southern Californians who are boarding flights to get away for year-end holidays, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California.The organization said about 5.6 million Southern Californians will travel during the last two weeks of 2007. This is a slight increase from the number who took trips during the Christmas-New Year's period last year.
It said about eight in 10 people who are getting away will do so by car. Another 840,000 will fly to their destinations.
