Will work to settle foreclosure, Turtle Bay owners say

Advertiser Staff

The owner of Turtle Bay Resort expects to continue normal operations of the North Shore hotel as it works to settle a $283 million foreclosure lawsuit.

Credit Suisse filed the lawsuit against Kuilima Resort Co. in state court.

Nathan Hokama, Kuilima spokesman, said the company will work with the lender toward an amicable agreement.

"They do not plan to file for bankruptcy," Hokama said today. "It shouldn't affect the day-to-day operations of the hotel."

He would not comment on whether the lawsuit would affect expansion plans for Turtle Bay.
