Wahiawa warrant arrest leads to armed robbery charge

A man arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrants yesterday in Wahiawa was charged today with armed robbery.Bryson Kanoelani Kalanui, 21, who listed no permanent local address at his booking, was taken into custody by police at 8:40 a.m. at 735 California Ave. on two misdemeanor warrants totaling $100. He was charged today while in police custody with first-degree robbery.
Bail for the robbery count is $50,000. Kalanui's initial appearance is tomorrow at District Court.
Details of the armed robbery charge were not available.
