Moiliili temple plans Hoonko service Jan. 13

The Moiliili Hongwanji Mission, 902 University Ave., will offer a Shinran Shonin remembrance (Hoonko) service commemorating the memorial day of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Jodo Shin Buddhism.The English language service will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 13 with a 10:30 a.m. Japanese service to follow. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Shigenori Makino.
