Holiday Book Drive seeking donations through Jan. 1

Barnes & Noble, Ala Moana Center is encouraging people to purchase books to donate to children for its annual Holiday Book Drive through Jan. 1. The books will benefit this year's Book Drive recipient, PBS Hawaii's Ready to Learn Program.The Ready to Learn Program is aimed at children between preschool and second grade. It prepares them for school through educational television, parent/caregiver support and free books.
PBS Hawaii gives away more than 300 free books to kids every month, targeting disadvantaged and rural communities throughout Hawai'i.
