Advertiser Staff

A high-surf-advisory has been issued for all east-facing shores this morning, with waves expected in the range of 7 to 10 ft. for the rest of today, according to the National Weather Service.

After rising to 8 to 12 ft. overnight, surf along north-facing shores will lower to 6 to 8 ft. today.

After rising to 4 to 8 ft. overnight, surf along west-facing shores will lower to 3 to 5 ft. during the day.

Surf along south-facing shores will be 1 to 3 ft. through the rest of today.

Strong trade winds will keep surf at advisory levels along east-facing shores into the weekend. Another northwest swell expected to arrive Friday will also be lower than advisory level on the north shore.
