Money for final phase of affordable homes released

Gov. Linda Lingle has released $1 million in construction funds for the final phase of affordable rental housing units at Kalepa Village in Hanama'ulu, a news release said.

The money will be used to build 40 one- to three-bedroom units.

Construction of the third phase is to be completed in March and will provide 40 rental units, the release said. The fourth and final phase will bring the total number of affordable units at Kalepa Village to 180.
