Most post offices close early on New Year's Eve
Advertiser Staff
Honolulu All but three Post Offices across the state will be open for business on New Year's Eve, but 66 offices will shorten their retail lobby hours because of the expectation that the number of customers visiting Post Office lobbies on that day will be much less than usual.Regular mail delivery out of the Post Offices closing early on Dec. 31 will be unaffected by the changes.
The Hickam Post Office and two small postal facilities serving Pearl Harbor Naval Air Station will be completely closed, at the request of their base commanders. Those three offices do not provide delivery service.
