Lagoon Drive access restricted on New Year's Eve

HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises O'ahu motorists that access to Lagoon Drive will be restricted south of Aolele Street to area business tenants, their employees, customers and guests on official business from 6 p.m. on Monday night, Dec. 31, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.An airport security checkpoint will be in operation near Aolele Street to ensure that only authorized persons and materials are allowed access to Lagoon Drive. The use of illegal aerial fireworks in this area is strictly prohibited.
Anyone seeing suspicious persons or unsafe activities is encouraged to contact the Airport Duty Manager at 836-6434.
