AVALON DEVELOPMENT

Laurie Sato has been promoted to director of client services and marketing for Avalon Development Company, a Honolulu-based firm that develops commercial and residential properties and provides consulting services in real estate ownership, management and developments to investors and landowners. Sato will be responsible for client development, client relations and asset management.

FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK

Corbett Kalama and Iris Ma-tsumoto have been named to the senior management committee of First Hawaiian Bank. Alan Arizumi, Kristi Maynard and Melvin Mow have been promoted to executive vice presidents at the bank.

Kalama, executive vice president and O'ahu region supervisor, joined the bank in 1982 as a management trainee and has held various management positions throughout the bank.

Matsumoto, senior vice president in the Human Resources Division, joined First Hawaiian in 1998. She has more than 20 years of human resources experience and previously worked for Maui Land and Pineapple Co., C. Brewer & Co. and Hawaiian Airlines.

Arizumi was promoted from senior vice president and manager to executive vice president and manager in the corporate banking division. He began his banking career with First Hawaiian, joining the bank in 1983 as a management trainee.

Maynard, also promoted from senior vice president and manager, will be an executive vice president and manager in the treasury and investment division. Maynard also serves as the bank's treasurer.

Mow was promoted from senior vice president and chief credit officer to executive vice president and chief credit officer. He joined First Hawaiian Bank in 1972 as a management trainee.

CB RICHARD ELLIS

CB Richard Ellis has announced the the promotion of Kimberly Lord to managing director of retail services. Lord joined CBRE Hawaii in 2001 as a partner, and was previously senior vice president of retail asset services in Hawai'i.
