HERBERT "JAKE" STANLEY BEAR JR., 78, of Honolulu, died Dec. 22, 2007. Born in Pennsylvania. He was an emeritus professor of mathematics. Survived by wife, Ruth; son, John; daughter, Katharine; brother, John. Private memorial services. Arrangements by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawai'i.

U.S. flag MARCEL EMILE CAILLIET, 93, of Honolulu, died Dec. 20, 2007. Born in Dijon, France. Artist known for his landscapes, still lifes, florals and portraits who painted in Hawai'i for over 60 years. A lieutenant retired from the U.S. Navy. Survived by wife, Dorothy; sons, Jon and Jacques; daughters, Lorrella Busboom and Michelle Sheehan; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Rene Cailliet. SHELDON ERIC CAMACHO, 46, of Kapa'a, Kaua'i, died Dec. 24, 2007. Born in Hilo, Hawai'i. A truck driver with Kauai Commercial.
