Ex-UH player Owens makes season debut for Jaguars

Chad Owens, a former University of Hawai'i standout, made his season debut today in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 42-28 loss to the Houston Texans.Owens had five kickoff returns for 94 yards for an average of 18 yards and a long of 31 yards. He also called for a fair catch on a punt return, but fumbled the ball at the Jacksonville 7 in the first quarter. The ball was recovered by Houston.
Owens has spent most of his time on the practice squad since being drafted by the Jaguars in 2005.
